On-Air is Clyde Broadcast’s ‘play-out’ software. Play-out software is what the presenter uses to host their radio show. Imagine On-Air as a sophisticated playlist with music, jingles, news items and various events and instructions to help guide the presenter while hosting a radio show.
In addition to the playlist are cartridges. You can create an unlimited number of cartridge pre-sets that the presenter can use to embellish the show playing; sound effects, backing beds, news clips and other audio required on demand.
On-Air can record, with ‘quick recording’ options for recording the whole show, interviews and even telephone calls-off air*
Clyde Broadcast’s Professional software is the most popular used software in education today. It is used in hundreds of radio stations from education, community, local and state broadcasters world wide.

Prepare your radio show! To this day, ‘clocks’ are used when planning a new radio show. A clock is simple circle divided up into sections illustrating what is happening during each hour of a radio programme.
Decisions such as where to place the news, adverts and interviews can all be planned in advance and then created for real using the Scheduling module. Finished schedules are then loaded into On-Air, ready for the presenter to host.
The Scheduling Module also includes Logging. All the audio files played from On-Air by a presenter are logged. This enables the radio station to generate a report of which audio items were actually played and at what time.
At the heart of On-Air, Scheduling and Production is the library. The library is where you keep all of your pre-recorded audio and is stored into Music, News, Jingles and Advert categories.
The Production module is used to manage the library. CD ripping, importing recorded audio from portable recorders and external hard-drives or servers, categorising and classifying your audio and producing the ‘notes’ and ‘information’ helpful to a presenter when talking about music being played on their show.
Description
Synergy and S-RADIO packages come complete with a full suite of radio broadcast software. Both ‘Professional’ (the most popular used software for radio in education, designed for education) and ‘Enterprise’ (designed for commercial radio stations) are available.
As standard, all of our education packages ship with Professional including, On-Air, Scheduling, Production, Administration and Audio Editing.
The networking and automation tools required for large commercial stations are not typically required within a school environment, so more investment is spent tailoring the tools that are required for education, small - medium sized broadcasters.
Should your school wish to become a 24/7 radio station and require some of the features used in Enterprise, Clyde Broadcast can upgrade your software, at any point in time.
All phone, email remote access support and software updates to your system are free of charge and support is UNLIMITED with no annual or repeat subscriptions.
