Scheduling and Logging

Prepare your radio show! To this day, ‘clocks’ are used when planning a new radio show. A clock is simple circle divided up into pie like pieces illustrating what is happening during each hour of a radio programme.

Decisions such as where to place the news, adverts and interviews can all be planned in advance and then created for real using the Scheduling module. Finished schedules are then loaded into On-Air, ready for the presenter to host.

The Scheduling Module also includes Logging. All the audio files played from On-Air by a presenter are logged. This enables the radio station to generate a report of which audio items were actually played and at what time.

Scheduling is often the most sophisticated software a radio station will use and programme managers who use this software can be some of the highest paid employees of a radio station.

Automatic Music and Jingle Picks

Let the Scheduler do the work! Creating a template running order for each of your radio shows is quick, simple and makes radio extremely sustainable.

Automatic Music and Jingle Picks can be used in combination with manually chosen audio to enable the Scheduler to pick content for you. Simply tell the Scheduler where you would like to place music in your show, set the criteria for the pick, then let the Scheduling module populate your music and jingles automatically!

Play-out Logging

Check what music, jingles, adverts and news items were actually played by the presenter using Play-out Logging and Reporting.

This information may be required to be submitted to regulatory authorities when the output of your radio station is broadcast on a public radio frequency, over a public address system or on the internet.

Logs also provide useful information for analysing the output of a radio station, for generating evidence to check compliance with school station policies and also for billing, should your radio station sell advertising.
