The new Synergy radio kit was fired up

Advanced classes had been given to BTEC Music Students

Now it was time to launch Rave FM!

On Thursday 4th December 2008, excited students gathered in the Small Hall to sign up for the Rave FM club and receive a taste of things to come. Mr. Muzio skilfully guided dozens of eager students around the many exciting features of the radio equipment. Rough drafts of radio programmes are already occupying space on the hard drive with many more ideas for shows in the pipeline. “I’m definitely signing up for Friday’s club” exclaimed one Ks3 student whilst veteran performer and Post-16 student Rosie Burrin stated “This is what I want to do at University, so it’s great that I can start early”.

Rave FM will broadcast pre-recorded shows made by students at lunchtimes with a view to going live in the Summer term. We are extremely excited about the opportunities that radio will give our school and most importantly, our students. (And I can’t wait to be interviewed for my top ten tracks of all time).
