Youth Centre choose Synergy for their second studio

UNITY RADIO ONLINE was setup in July 2012 as part of a project to offer young people an exciting opportunity to establish an internet based radio station, designed and run by young people for young people. The target age group is 13-19.
Bruce Grove Youth Centre, the people behind Unity Radio first met with Synergy School Radio at the BETT show in 2012. The Youth Centre provides a community base in Tottenham for young people to connect with one another and engage in positive activities.
Following the Croydon riots, radio was deemed to be the best way to re-unite the people of Tottenham and to discuss potential issues within the local and surrounding community.
Since its inception, Unity Radio Onine has covered a wide range of stories and events, such as the 2012 London Olympics, Haringey Youth Council election, the Spirit of London Awards red carpet event and secured exclusive interviews with Diversity, McFly, Labrinth, Hollyoaks actor Aaron Fontaine and many more.
Despite recent funding cuts for youth projects, Unity Radio was viewed as such a powerful youth resource that it has been relocated to newer premises and a second Synergy Radio studio built to further the project.
