On Tuesday 10th July members of Stainburn Radio attended the Arqiva Schools Radio Station of the Year Award ceremony. The event was hosted at the Houses of Parliament and featured the best of Britain’s school radio stations.
Darren Dixie from Synergy School Radio says: “We were delighted to hear when one of over 300 schools now using a Synergy School Radio solution was nominated for School Radio Station of the Year 2012. Stainburn Schools enthusiasm, dedication, creativity and support from staff has contributed to this incredible achievement”
Darren goes on to say:
“Since joining the Synergy School Radio team in 2005, I have seen the interest and recognition that radio deserves within the education sector rocket. It is amazing to see how accessible radio now is and how simple our products have become over the years”
Stainburn Radio was announced as the overall winner in front of MP’s and radio celebrities including Paul Gambacinni and Nicholas Parsons on the terrace by the River Thames. The award winners were then given a special tour of the Houses of Parliament by Tony Cunningham MP and even got to use the special exit into Westminster tube station.
A great time was had by all and this award is for all the students and staff who have put in hard work over the last few year to take Stainburn Radio where it is today.
Stainburn Radio is powered by Synergy Portable radio broadcast equipment.
